Testimonials:
"After switching disciplines from Eventing to Dressage, Jodi has brought me from competing at Training Level to schooling Third Level. She takes great care of my horse, Genesis, and me. I appreciate her keeping his wellbeing in mind every step of our journey. Her attention to the horse’s health and development is admirable, as Jodi treats horses as athletes that require support. I have called her for emergencies for advice regarding an unwell horse; she has always provided her guidance and support. In these past few years, I have improved my understanding of roundness and collection to a point where I can provide more in-depth explanations of where I am struggling and where we have improved. Her support through the highs and lows in my Dressage career pushes me to improve and overcome challenges. My ability to work through difficult rides has significantly improved since Jodi taught me strategies and exercises that help me get the responses I am aiming for."

"I was very fortunate to be coached by Jodi Pearson-Keating for over 15 years! I began riding with Jodi in May 2008 as a green 3rd level rider with a young green horse at Intro level! Over the next 15 years, I reached FEI levels with 3 different horses. I had many successes at Regional Championships (multiple wins and reserve championship placings), went to the US Dressage Finals twice for a 6th place and a Championship win, completed the L Program and became a licensed “r” dressage judge. Her help and support throughout all these achievements was endless. But even more importantly, all this was achieved with positive coaching and in a fun and motivating environment. I am confident that all Jodi’s future clients will enjoy the same positive coaching and supportive environment that I’ve seen Jodi bring to many different riders, at many different levels, on many different types of horses!"

"When I began training with Jodi when I was 16 years old, my foundation as a dressage rider completely transformed. I started out with Jodi as a timid first/second level rider and she gave me the confidence and training to move up the levels to Prix St George with my horse, Sammy. By the time Sammy and I did our first PSG test, he was in the best physical shape of his life at 21 years old and loving his job more than ever. Jodi instilled in me the importance of correct basics, horsemanship, and relaxation. Outside of the ring, it is evident that Jodi also has horsecare and wellness as a top priority. I always had peace of mind that my not-so-easy keeper was the happiest he had ever been and always receiving the best care possible."

"I can’t say enough about what a terrific trainer (of horses and of people) Jodi Pearson Keating is. She is so unfailingly patient, good-humored and positive. I’ve had several trainers and each had their strong points, but I feel both I and my horse have made more progress with Jodi than I ever had before. Her priority is always the welfare of the horse and the confidence of the rider. As a teacher, her ability to adjust and personalize to each rider explanations of how to best communicate with their horse is impressive. She can adapt to many different levels of ability of both horse and rider and can make adjustments for any physical limitations of either (lol, something I have plenty of.) And she is not just invested in ambitiousness and competition. She will be supportive of whatever your personal goals are. I rarely get through a lesson without laughing (at myself or at my opinionated mare), which is really saying something!"

"Six years ago, I found a hidden gem: Stony Brook Farm owned by Jen Hurley with an exceptional trainer, Jodi Pearson-Keating. The recently built barn, indoor, outdoor ring and numerous paddocks provides the perfect setting for exceptional care for each horse. Jodi Pearson-Keating's years of experience competing (GP), and her teaching ability is unmatched in the area. She has the expertise to work with students and horses at any level and encourages the growth and development of each special partnership."

"I have been working with Jodi as my trainer consistently for over 7 years. I cannot speak highly enough of Jodi and what she does for her human clients and the horses in her care. She helped me with my home-bred 5-year-old mare, Enya. I wanted to put my pride and joy and future dressage horse with a caring trainer. With Jodi, we both progressed, learned and had fun along the way. Unfortunately, Enya’s and my time together was tragically cut short after only a year when I lost Enya to complications due to colic surgery. Jodi stayed with me at the large animal hospital and could not have been more supportive. Then I started working with Jodi with my older 22-year-old mare (mother of Enya) and my former hunter/jumper horse. My older mare, Leticia, and I had a good relationship and had been together for 14 years at that point, but when I began to take dressage lessons with Jodi everything began to “click”. Jodi is patient, encouraging and pushes me when I need it, however, what I find extremely helpful is her ability to explain the aids and answer my questions. I believe through her experience and instruction I have become a better, more educated rider. Also, Leticia, now 28 years old, aged backwards these past 6 years, loves dressage – and Jodi (Leticia has exacting standards of “worthiness”). Jodi successfully transitioned both of us to a new discipline.
Then when I was ready, Jodi helped me find another younger horse to further my riding endeavors. She provided sold and informative guidance in that sometimes-emotional roller coaster process of purchasing a new horse. I have had Quinn now for almost 5 years and we have progressed and competed in our first dressage shows. Quinn sometimes has her own ideas and Jodi is able talk me through that at home and prepares me for it at shows. I have been truly fortunate to have Jodi as my trainer."
